Cornish Themed talks:

The Institute of Cornish Studies have organised a themed talk on ‘The History of the Cornish Language’ and everyone is invited to attend. This will take place at midday, in the Yellow Seminar Room, Exchange Building. This is a chance to gather together to celebrate St. Piran’s Day with a complimentary Cornish fayre lunch! You’ll be able to hear some of the Institute’s Postgraduates discuss their research relating to Cornish place names & Cornish language. Be among the first to watch the new short film Hwedhel Henry Jenner (The Henry Jenner Story).

Book your place now to see a screening of a short documentary ‘St Ives Ghost Town’ about housing and development issues in a Cornish community, by experienced local film maker, Senara Wilson Hodges. This talk, which has been organised by the Library, starts at 4pm in Exchange Green and everyone is invited. Light refreshments will be provided.
