Silver win for Cornwall Plus

4 November 2017

Big congratulations to all members of the Cornwall Plus team who won a silver medal at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2017 - the first time they entered the competition.

The team came joint second in the International Visitor Experience of the Year category for Glasney Village rooms and flats.

Now in their 16th year, the awards saw 180 entries entering 26 different categories. The ceremony, at Newquay's Headland Hotel, included two-time Olympic champion Helen Glover as special guest.

Tony Sanders, FX Plus Managing Director, said: “This award also underlines the hard work of many in FX Plus - including cleaners, caretakers, caterers and security - who make our summer visitors' stays great. It also highlights what good quality accommodation we offer to holidaymakers in the summer and students during the academic year. Congratulations to everyone involved.”

Awards organiser, Robin Barker, said: “These awards are not about being good.  They are about excellence in what is one of the world’s largest, fastest growing and most innovative industries.  To be a winner, in a destination with the standing of Cornwall, is something winners should take great pride in.”
