The Compass is a student information service, that offers help and advice on any aspect of university life whether you have a quick query or require specialist support.
The Compass provides an interface with, and referral to, a range of academic and support services. Our friendly and well-trained staff will be on hand to respond quickly and professionally as a reassuring port of call for all of your student needs and queries.

Log your enquiry anytime and anywhere and view our Frequently Asked Questions through The Compass online portal. You can also visit our helpdesk in person on Level 0 of The Exchange, Penryn Campus or at the Lower Courtyard, Falmouth Campus.

Support in The Compass is available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday during term-time.

How will this service work for you?
The service will work on two levels –
As a physical space - a welcoming, student owned space that caters to varying needs of privacy. There are seven bookable, sound-proof rooms that services will be able to use to meet with and counsel/advise/help you with all matters relating to your student life.
As a point of access – You will be able to walk in for a range of multiple queries that will then be referred on to relevant services and departments. Robust referral mechanisms will be put in place to ensure that you feel supported throughout your university career.
There are bookable rooms in The Compass that are specifically for staff to meet with students to offer guidance and support. For room enquiries and booking, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Organising an event in The Exchange
If you would like to book a space, order hospitality or organise an event in The Exchange, including in the Social Street, the booking protocol will provide you with details of who to contact. Bookings can be made through our web booking form and are managed by the Campus and Commercial Events team.
