The universities' focus on green travel makes getting around easy. We work with local transport providers to bring you special student fares and offers on local routes. Dedicated University buses run every ten minutes between the Falmouth and Penryn campuses, and you can buy a Fal Mussel Card UNI for unlimited travel on all First buses in Cornwall. Both campuses have secure bike storage facilities and free showers for cyclists.

Beaches, live venues, parties, cinema's, galleries, festivals and beautiful places to visit, there is so much to life in Cornwall! With the bus journey ranging from 15-20 mins between Falmouth and Penryn you really can enjoy what both areas have to offer regardless of where you live. For essential groceries, there’s a range of major supermarkets in both locations and you'll find smaller quirky shops in both towns. For high street brands, Truro, Cornwall's capital, is only a 15 min train ride away. Both areas offer access to the local music scene as well as an eclectic range of pubs, bars and places to eat.

Cornwall has an extensive festival calendar. Annual events include Boardmasters, the Port Eliot Festival, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival, the Masked Ball and the Cornwall Film Festival. Falmouth also hosts several of it's own music and food festivals each year.

The decision on where you would like to live is a personal one, Falmouth is a bigger and busier town than Penryn with easy access to beaches, shops, the cinema and walking distance to Falmouth Campus. However if you prefer to be closer to Penryn Campus you are only a short journey away at either location.
