Beating the post queue

We have installed new software in the Porters’ Lodge to alleviate the daily queue of Glasney Student Village residents waiting for their post.

NEOPOST software contains a database of all the students who live on campus, so when a parcel arrives and is logged to a student’s name, an email is sent to their university email account letting them know that they have a parcel to collect.

It was estimated last year that up to 75% of students visiting the post desk at the Porters’ Lodge were making an enquiry in vain.  This new system will reduce these unnecessary enquiries to virtually zero, increase our efficiency and enhance our service to students.
