Our Conferencing & Events team recently arranged a visit by the House of Commons Select Committee for Science & Technology to the Penryn Campus for a public evidence hearing. This was part of its inquiry into marine science and its consultation process regarding the designation of Marine Conservation Zones in English waters.
The Select Committee was welcomed by senior representatives from across our partnership at the Campus and colleagues from the University of Exeter briefed the Committee about their research into marine renewables, marine science and conservation.
Dr Matthew Frost from the Marine Biological Association and Professor Stephen de Mora from Plymouth Marine Laboratory gave evidence at the public hearing.
More information about this inquiry can be found here.
