Parking at the Penryn Campus

6 November 2015

Over the coming year we will be constructing a new Sports Centre and Nursery at the Penryn Campus which will benefit students and staff from both the University of Exeter and Falmouth University.

Construction is now beginning on site and will continue until September 2016. During this time parking, particularly long stay parking, will remain limited at Penryn Campus.

We are proactively working to increase the number of spaces on campus with immediate effect together with working at medium and longer term solutions for the future, both on and off campus. Those who hold parking permits are not guaranteed a parking space.

All visitors to the campus are encouraged to use alternative methods of transport and avoid driving to the campus wherever possible.

Students and staff who live in the local area (Falmouth and Penryn) are able to use the U1, U2 and U3 buses for just £1 per journey. There are also regular trains running between Falmouth and Truro which cost from £2.30 for a return.

Further information about buses, trains, cycling, walking and car sharing is available at www.fxplus.ac.uk/travel.  In the coming weeks, we will be working on additional ways of assisting and promoting alternative means of transport.

We ask that you remain patient whilst our staff work to alleviate the immediate issues and find appropriate solutions. Any abuse towards staff will not be tolerated.
