Falmouth and Penryn Campus car parks have been awarded the national, Park Mark accreditation.
Awarded by the British Parking Association (BPA), the accreditation demonstrates a commitment to managing and maintaining car parks effectively, which in turn leads to them being safe and secure environments for users.
Rob Greensmith, FX Plus Head of Security, is also responsible for campus car parking. He explained: “the British Parking Association (BPA) and local police visited the Penryn and Falmouth campuses to assess the standards of our car parks against the Park Mark accreditation criteria.
“These are reviewed annually and as such we must continue to at least maintain standards and to make improvements where necessary.
“This accreditation is very much down to the hard work across teams and praise should go to the Estates, Grounds, Caretaking, Security and Front of House teams for their efforts to make this happen.”
Tony Sanders, FX Plus Managing Director, added: “This is all part of our journey to deliver excellent service to all campus users. Thank you to everyone for their work in continuing to improve our campuses and ensure they are safe places.”
FX Plus is also working with the BPA to attain Disabled Parking Accreditation which will demonstrate that there are sufficient disabled parking spaces with the correct levels of access for disabled car park users.
The BPA is a not for profit organisation, representing, promoting and influencing the parking and traffic management profession throughout the UK and Europe.
Membership of more than 700 organisations and individuals includes local authorities, car park operators, retail parks, healthcare facilities, universities, railway stations, technology providers, trainers and consultants.
