The Student Support team is here to help you get the most out of your time at University. Health and wellbeing are crucial for effective study as well as for a fulfilling student experience, but staying well in body and mind isn’t always easy at University.
The Student Support team can support, advise and point you in the right direction with all sorts of issues such as general student life, academic issues, living in the community, personal relationships, general worries, as well as psychological or emotional concerns and mental health difficulties.
If you need to understand your options, are concerned about your own welfare or the welfare or behaviour of others around you, our staff will help you consider your needs and support options and cope more effectively with any personal and/or emotional difficulties that may arise during your time at University.
Our Service offers a wide range of support, including self-help, online resources, advice and information and referral and liaison.
Where necessary, and with your consent, staff can liaise with others such as GPs, NHS mental health professionals, and members of staff within the University to ensure appropriate support is in place.
